I like to post photos of my quilts when they’re finished but I fear this one may never get bound, so here goes.

Is it okay for me to say that I love this quilt?
I don’t know what possessed me to stipple so tiny (each loop is about dime-sized instead of my usual quarter- to half-dollar sized). It was very fun, but took a long time and a huge amount of thread. I kept it in the machine and basically quilted one bobbin’s worth at a time. I set up my old sewing machine on the dining room table in the meantime for other projects, because I was afraid if I took the quilt out of the machine I’d never get back to it!
I’ve been busy with freelance work. My current job came to me as a referral from the last website I designed and the client has been a dream to work with. (If only work could always fall into my lap this way.) It’s been a juggling act of time-management and I’m feeling pretty good about it. I may even have a business-related announcement to make here in a few week’s time. All I’m saying is: if you’ve been thinking about registering a domain name for your blog or business, redesigning your blog or launching a website of any kind—keep me in mind.
This morning Quinn and I snuggled in my favorite chair and watched television. I’m not embarrassed to tell you that I loved every minute of it. Sometimes letting someone else entertain us is just the thing we need on a rainy morning.

I absolutely love this quilt!! I was going to post soon about some art I had seen and loved, and this totally reminds me of it! Mind if I post the image of your quilt in my post when I get around to doing it?? Gorgeous!
I love it! I know what you mean about taking it out of the machine. I started quilting a quilt and crazily took it out – now it’s half quilted. Good luck on your new venture – sounds exciting!
We did the same thing. Shh..still doing it. Somewhere in there we baked cookies, at 9 am.
PS LOVE that quilt. I really need to explore solids.
I have a soft spot for quilts made of solids… you’re right to love this quilt as much as you do!
Very very nice!
I agree totally! I watched the Dinosaur Train with my boys today! Just what I needed to enjoy them more.
I’ve never worked with solids. This makes me think that maybe I should. (I’ll just add yet ANOTHER project to the queue…)
I lvoe the quilt and the quilting..so much detail, its perfect! Looking forward to hearing all about the big announcement.
That quilt is stunning. I keep staring at the photo. Well done!
I LOVE your quilt – the colors you used are really great! Glad you and Quinn had some good snuggle time – cartoons are the best on rainy days.
That’s a lovely quilt. I wonder how you pieced it. I’ve done a quilt with strips before Where you sew them together making a a very very very long strip and fold it in half, sew, fold in half, sew, and so on. Not sure if that makes sense or not. You were brave to quilt so tiny. Good that you have an extra machine.
Rainy morning? I’m very jealous right now as beads of sweat drip down my back at 7 pm. It’s so very hot and I’m watching the hills burn on the other side of the lake. I think it’s almost out though. I’m not feeling like snuggling in a blanket right now. I’ll save that thought for a few months from now.
Good evening.
This quilt is beautiful. The colors are beautiful as they remind me of autumn and the ocean–two things I love. Also, great news about your job(s). I’m glad that you are busy and enjoying yourself at the same time.
Love the colors on this one. So perfect to post on a drizzly day like today. Can’t wait to hear your annoucement…

I think I may have a future in working with solids and variegated thread after seeing this quilt! It truly is lovely!!
This is gorgeous! I love the randomness of the colors and your beautiful stippling. Lovely job!
What a wonderful quilt and that’s the best use of variagated thread I’ve ever seen.
I love your quilt, too!
I am really enjoying this quilt, as well!
i love that quilt too! i love quilts made from rectangular shapes. and i’m curious to hear more about your new venture too!
this quilt is amazing! i LOVE the solids. there is something special about tiny stippling. i have done some of it and it is worth it in the end. but it just can’t happen on EVERY quilt.
