The boys and I spent the weekend at my parents’ house.

Having a window above my kitchen sink is a dream of mine.

(Sometimes nothing but chips and a Diet Coke will do.)
Rediscovering some of the reasons I love to knit.

Pick it up any time any place, no set up necessary.
The baby fell asleep on me today. I can’t remember the last time that happened except to say that has been months. He snored into my neck and we both sweated and I loved every second of it.

There you are. It’s lovely to hear from you. A weekend at mom’s, delightful. I have always loved the neck-nuzzle myself. It was only a few weeks ago when my son was teaching his son how to give me a hug. "Captain, put your face in her neck when you hug her, that’s how she likes it". Yes indeed.

So funny, I picked up some knitting today too. First time in months. Perhaps it was the rain or my own weekend at mom’s with my boys.
It looks like you had a wonderful weekend!
oh, I miss those moments….heavy hot baby breath… sweating sweetly. snores. Doesn’t even matter what else happened that day after that!
We had a tornado warning last night after my baby (now 3) was asleep. It was just heaven to carry that little man to the basement, hold him tight and return him to his bed after the all clear. He slept through the whole thing.
I also had a lovely lazy weekend, albeit flu ridden. I love it when my boys fall asleep in my arms. Your pics are lovely and reflect the space you are in perfectly!
A window over the sink in the kitchen sounds just lovely!
what an awesome weekend. and oh those snoozing babies! I have been known to get my little guy out of bed just so I can snuggle him while he sleeps!
That kitchen shot is perfect. And what’s better than a sleeping baby on you? Even in the heat, nothing.
I really don’t think there is anything sweeter than a baby falling asleep on you.
oh… i miss babies around my house. shh don’t tell my husband… hahaha
My boy fell asleep on me a couple weeks back – I couldn’t believe it! But I loved every moment
Looks like a good weekend.
Sounds like a wonderfully lazy day! I didn’t realize how much I would miss the babies falling asleep on me — until they stopped. Such sweetness!
Yeah, sounds like a great day! We’re moving to a place where the sink has a window in front of it and I can’t wait! It’s a dream of mine too!
My window sill looks just like that. Storms last night knocked off a bunch of baby green ones that I hope will ripen a bit. Sweet Quinn…what a perfect Mama Moment!
What are you knitting up?
same with me, the kitchen window part and the baby feel!
Looks like you had a wonderful weekend! I love windows over kitchen sinks too. It’s so much more fun to wash dishes when there is a pretty view in front of you.
Your photos feel very much like home.
That sounds like a lovely weekend. Having a window over my kitchen sink (or a window at all in my kitchen!) is a dream of mine too.
As always beautiful pictures and thoughtful writing. I so enjoy reading your blog Amy. Hope all is well with you and family.
Touchdown! That’s a raelly cool way of putting it!
